Shaka engine is not selected

Check that @ngxsp/engine-shaka and shaka-player are installed, then check that createShakaEngineFactory() is passed to facade.attach.

An adaptive source is treated as a simple file

Check source.type. Use hls for a .m3u8 manifest and dash for .mpd. The url type is suited to progressive files.

Progress does not persist

Check source.contentId, progress.mode, and the storage port. The default memory port does not preserve anything between two browser sessions.

Remote config changes nothing

Check remoteConfig.enabled, remoteConfig.url, the HTTP port, and the allow-list. A key missing from allow must be ignored.

DRM fails without a clear message

Check keySystems, licenseServerUrl, headers, CORS, short-lived tokens, and licenseRetry. Do not log license secrets in telemetry.
